Sorry for the long delay in posting. Mimi and Pops enjoyed a three week trip to Virginia where they had a fabulous time. Pops tackled stairs like a champ and regained more and more strength as the weeks progressed. He even had two good nights of sleep in a row at the end of the trip. The grandkids could hardly wait for their return. If Pops emails me some pictures, I will post them. {Hint, Hint}
Now onto the results. The doctor did not see visible evidence of cancer. He did do a biopsy of the original tumor site where he saw inflammation and a thickening. The inflammation had been seen on an earlier scan so that is not alarming.
The nurse came in and said something like, "You got a good report. You found your cancer early." When Mom clarified just the opposite she said something about "miracles happen". Yes, yes they do!
His follow up appointment to discuss next steps with the oncologist is on Monday.
